PCPA leader lynched by CPIM goons in Lalgarh

MIDNAPORE: PCPA leader Swadesh Hembram (28), a resident of Ramgarh in Lalgarh, was lynched, allegedly by CPM men, on Friday evening.
Local CPM leaders, though, have denied that their men were involved in the lynching.
Swadesh’s relative, Subhas Hembram, was seriously injured in the beating when he tried to rescue Swadesh. Subhas was later admitted to Midnapore Medical College Hospital. Police are yet to make any arrest.
Anuj Pandey, CPM’s Binpur zonal secretary, said: "CPM men were not involved in the killing."
That CPM would start targeting PCPA members was evident, as they had been assembling men in several places of Salboni, Kankabati in Midnapore Town and in Belatikri to resist PCPA and Maoists, said sources. TOI
