Maoist observes Martyr Week from 28th July to 03rd August in tribal areas of Orissa

Reported by Manoj Kumar Das; Koraput: Maoists Posters and Manifestos is being found in many places of Tribal-Dominated undivided Koraput for observing Martyr Week. Andhra Orissa Organization of Maoist Committee is going to observe Martyr Week from 28th July to 03rd August, 2009. On the eve of Martyr Week Maoist had issued a manifesto mentioning 10 Maoist leaders shot dead with false encounter by police personnel.
In this manifesto it is mentioned, in the name of false encounter Andhra Orissa Organization Of Maoist Committee leader Kailash Ramchandra and Sarita were shot dead inhumanly in the name of False encounter by police officials on 26th Dec. 2008, after the inhuman encounter the dead bodies were dropped at Parvatipuram on 27th Dec. 2008. In the manifesto they put their allegation that on 12th April 2009 during the attack over CISF base camp at Damajodi (Koraput) the Maoist Comrade Raju, Kirtty, Raghu and Sakhiram were shot dead during the exchange fire with police personnel. On January Police arrested 3 Maoist leaders and shot dead inhumanly infront of Tribal People. To give tribute to these Maoists who were shot dead by police personnel inhumanly, martyr week is observed.
In late 1972, July 28, Maoist revolution started under leadership of Charu Majumadar, who was arrested by Police, later on he committed suicide inside the custody of police for loosing patient out being tortured by police men. With the memory of the Past Maoist leaders this day (28th July) is observed as Martyr day or Death Day for Maoist. To make the Martyr Week a grand success the Maoist had requested each and every general public to co-operate with them.
On 2004, 21 armed communist parties, CPI (M) and MCC combined and formed Communist party, later on the Central and State Govt. interfered in the operation. Likely the manifesto brings out summery regarding the history and revolution act of Maoist.
