Chhattisgarh: SPO and Salwajudum activist killed in Maoist attack

Raipur, Jul 31 (PTI) Two persons, including a special police officer (SPO), were killed in Naxal attacks in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh, police said today.
Naxals killed SPO Padam Sarju and a villager Varge Munna using sharp weapons in separate incidents yesterday, DIG (Naxal) Pavan Dev told PTI.
Sarju, who was visiting Muchler village under Farsegadh station area, was attacked by a group of 10 armed Naxals after they learnt about his whereabouts, he said.
In another incident, Naxals hacked Munna to death when he went to his village Koter for some personal work, Dev said.
Munna was living in the Cherpal rescue camp, he said, adding that further investigations were on. PTI
