CPI ML Janashakti leader Amar released on bail

Hyderabad, July 30 (PTI) The Andhra Pradesh High Court today granted conditional bail to a top Naxalite leader lodged in Cherlapalli jail here.
Kura Devender alias Amar (47), Janashakti group state secretary, was arrested by state police from Pune in April last year and was incarcerated in Cherlapalli jail on city outskirts.
Amar, who went underground two decades ago, had participated in peace talks with the Andhra Pradesh government in 2004 as the Janashakti emissary.
Members of cultural body ‘Jana Naya Mandali’ had gathered outside the jail to welcome Amar.
Speaking to media, Amar said he will continue to work for the people.
