Posted by Admin on September 5, 2009

231201275Report by Deba Prasad Dash; Malkangiri: With the Maoist infested bordering states are working on launching a massive joint operation against the Maoists from the third week of this month, the red rebels have warned the teachers of death penalty if they accommodate the cops in the school building.

The warning is significant in view of the arrival of huge CRPF and other armed police personnel’s at different locations in the district including the district headquarter town for a massive joint operation against the Maoist rebels. The rebels have given this warning in hundreds of posters and banners displayed at various places in Chitrakonda area since last night.

The road connectivity to the Maoist stronghold Chitrakonda, some 60 km from the district headquarter also remained snapped since this morning due to felling of large numbers of tress on the Balimela-Chitrakonda road.

The Maoists have blocked the Balimela-Chitrakonda-Sileru(A.P) road in between Tunnel camp, Chitrakonda and bordering Sileru area of Andhra Pradesh by cutting down more than 40 trees on the said route. In another incident, the Maoists have blown up the Airtel mobile tower at M.V-74 under M.V-79 police limits in the district.
