Posted by Admin on August 26, 2009

19june27r copy LalgarhRaipur, Aug 26 (PTI) Chhattisgarh government has today dismissed 13 jawans for not reporting for duty in naxal-affected areas in Rajnandgaon district.

Inspector General Police R K Vij said the jawans have been dismissed for not following orders to report for duty at Madanwada, a naxal-infested area, last week.

Fifteen jawans were deputed to the area after they were trained from Counter Terrorism and Jungle Warfare College at Kanker district of the state. However, none reported for duty, he said.

Earlier, the state government had suspended the 15 jawans on grounds of indiscipline of whom 13 were today dismissed.
